JAMS Ultimate (aka Big Cat Ultimate @ JAMS) is a coed school sport in the fall and a coed club sport in the spring. This year, we have three co-managers handling coordination, communications, and equipment. We are using a new blog for information and updates. The blog will generally duplicate information posted on the JAMS Ultimate Facebook group.

We will share try-out, practice, and game schedules as soon as the school has finalized field schedules. There will be two try-out days scheduled after school (3:50-5:20) shortly after the start of the school year and practices will start the following week. The first game day will be Saturday, September 21, 2019. Jersey order information is forthcoming. Scholarships for jerseys or cleats are available! Contact Megan Riber in the main office at to make arrangements.

Fall athletics can be a whirlwind especially for new families, but here are the steps you need to take now:

     1. Players are not allowed to try out until all athletic forms and doctor-signed physical forms have been submitted to the main office at school. Physicals are valid for 2 years, so check with Megan in the main office to see if your previous physical is still valid. You can get athletic forms packets from the main office or online here. (Nathan Hale High School has a Teen Health Clinic that can provide sports physicals for our students. For more information, call 206-302-1840.)

     2. Coaches and assistant coaches must get certifications and paperwork filed by the end of August as well to be on the field with players. Information for volunteering with athletics here.

     3. Hold your player’s spot! Register your student athlete on this Google Form ASAP.

     4. Sign up for the Big Cat Ultimate Newsletter (for team-specific and last-minute updates).

     5. Subscribe to the Ultimate calendar for practices and games on your devices here.

     6. We have a huge incoming 6th grade class and we need significant volunteer support to prevent Ultimate from being a cut sport. Sign up for at least one role here.

     7. If you need to contact managers or coaches for any reason, use this Contact Form or e-mail
