    VOLUNTEER ZONE

    *** NEW! ONE-TIME VOLUNTEER GIGS ***
We're short on crossing guards - please help out as a one-time substitute. It's fun and easy! Email JAMStrafficsafety@gmail.com.

    *** NEW! 8TH GRADE PROMOTION / PARTY PLANNING ***

JAMS PTSA is searching for a few 7th grade parents to assist Mr. Friedle with the 8th Grade Promotion/Party planning. In previous years, 7th grade families have "paid it forward" by providing assistance to school staff in sending the 8th graders off to high school.

There is a very detailed list of what the job entails (picking up cakes, setting up reception, help with 8th grade party planning etc). Time commitment is minimal, but essential to success. Mr. Friedle is already in the planning stages and is looking for a few parent volunteers to help out.

If interested please email Jennifer Nickel.  Thank You!

    JAMS SNOW BUS VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed before and after school in January and February for the JAMS Snow Bus. This includes Traffic Safety and Gear Check-In and Check-Out. Visit the link below to sign-up.
Email Sara Burke with any questions.

*** NEW! PTSA WINTER GENERAL MEETING JAN. 18 ***

Please join us on Jan. 18, 7-9 PM in the school library for our winter General Meeting. Not only will you have the opportunity to vote on the Nominating Committee who will put together your 2018-19 PTSA Board, you will also have the opportunity to:

Meet and listen to parents, students and an administrator from area high schools (Garfield, Roosevelt, Ingraham, Nathan Hale, The Center School and Nova) speak about their experiences and culture of the various schools. In addition, principal Paula Montgomery will explain the open enrollment process. Forms will be available.

This meeting will include relevant information for parents of all grade levels: 6th grade parents so you know what is coming, 7th grade parents as you being to plan for next year, and 8th grade parents experiencing it now. We acknowledge that there are high school open houses at Garfield and Center School scheduled for Jan. 18, and we sincerely apologize for the overlap. Scheduling during the first part of 2018 has been an enormous challenge.
