    Art Club

    Enjoy drawing and painting or are interested in learning how? Then Art Club with Mr. Avriett is the thing for you. Come join other students in room 227 where we will relax, socialize, and create art every Monday from 3:55-5:25. Supplies will be provided and students will share their art ideas and teach each other drawing and painting techniques. Sign up sheets are in the main office.

     

    ASB (Associated Student Body)

    Ms. Olivas in room 220A

    Meets on Monday from 4:00-5:30pm. ASB oversees school-wide events at school. They are tasked to approve all budget requests and host events for the entire student body. Elections are held at the end of the year for the upcoming school year. One does not have to win the election to be a part of ASB. Anyone who runs has earned a spot.

    Rocketry

    In Mr. Grevstad’s room 221 on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30

    Students will design, build, and launch rockets as part of the Team America Rocketry Challenge as well as learn the basics of rocket science and the engineering design process.

    Sign up is in September- Rocketry is FULL for the 19-20 school year

    Science Tutoring

    Science tutoring will be held in the library every Thursday from 3:55-5:25. This is open to all students. The science teachers will rotate through the club weekly.

     

    T.A.J.A. (Theater at Jane Addams)

    TAJA puts on a Fall and Spring musical every year. You can act in the play or work backstage. If you want to act, you need to come to auditions in September or January. If you are interested in working backstage, talk with Ms. Handley at any time. TAJA meets on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00-6:00 in the auditorium. There will be additional time commitments for performances.

    There is a $50.00 fee for the play and $75.00 fee for the musical. Scholarships are available.

    Make sure you have arranged your transportation.

     

    Latinx Student Union (LSU)

    We meet every other Thursday after school in room 220A. LSU is a place where we are comfortable to be ourselves. It is a space to celebrate our culture, speak Spanish, as well as teach and learn about our heritage from each other. Some big accomplishments this year are hosting the Dia de Los Muertos event and attending the La CHISPA Conference.

     

    Dungeons and Dragons

    Meets on Mondays from 3:55-5:25 in room 223 with Mr. Merrifield. Join a group in adventuring, storytelling, and questing.

     

    Sports

    Winter Sports: Boys and Girls Basketball- beginning early December

    Spring Sports: Volleyball, Boys Soccer, and Track- beginning early March
